Firearm Transfers at Gas & Brass Armory

Gas & Brass Armory is more than happy to help you with your firearm transfers from other Federal Firearm License (FFL) dealers or Private Sellers.

Firearms Transfer Fees

• $35 per firearm

Background Fee

• $5

Storage Fees

$20 storage fee for all transfers picked up within 10–30 days of notification. After 30 days, storage fees of $30 per month will apply. Firearms not picked up within 4 months will be considered abandoned and become property of Gas & Brass Armory.

It is the buyer’s responsibility to ensure the seller received the FFL, payment, and all necessary shipping information. The seller typically includes your contact details, but incorrect info may prevent us from notifying you.

Pickup & Background Check

Upon pickup, you will complete ATF Form 4473 for the background check. Once approved and any required waiting period is satisfied, you may leave with your firearm.

Important Things to Know

• You must be a Florida resident to pick up handguns and receivers. Non-residents may purchase/transfer rifles and shotguns.
• The named purchaser must pick up the firearm.
• Your ID address must be current or supported by official documentation (e.g., voter registration, tax bill).
• Form 4473 must be completed in store.
• Background checks may be delayed up to 72 hours for identity-related issues.
• We accept cash, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and AMEX.
• There is no firearm registry in Florida (Statute 790.335).
