The Griffin QD Blast Shield is engineered to significantly reduce concussion effects for the operator and nearby team members, particularly in close-quarters combat environments. Its innovative design effectively directs the muzzle blast forward, minimizing the disruptive concussive force typically experienced with short-barreled firearms.

Constructed with a fluted body similar to Griffin’s QD suppressors, the Blast Shield enhances strength-to-weight ratio and promotes quicker cooling through increased surface area. The quick detach (QD) mechanism provides a fast, secure attachment without the wear issues common in ratcheting systems. This model is compatible with Griffin's Gate-LOK mount series and various muzzle devices including A2 style compensators, ensuring versatile integration with 5.56mm and 7.62mm calibers.
