The Talon was purposebuilt to bring the lightweight features of the Backountry 2.0 family into the Vanguard lineup. It features Peak 44s Blacktooth carbon fiber stock which weighs only 19oz making it one of the lightest production stocks on the market. Equipped with an Accubreak and 3D Hex Recoil pad the Talon manages recoil extremely well even with Weatherbys historic magnum cartridges. Vanguard barrels are cold hammer forged which makes them much more accurate and reliable than other rifles in their price range. To back this up all Vanguards are guaranteed to shoot a 3shot group of .99 or less at 100 yards SUBMOA from a cold barrel when used with Weatherby factory or premium ammunition. The Vanguard Talon a 3position safety twostage match grade trigger and fluted bolt body. All Vanguards have a onepiece machined bolt body and a fully enclosed bolt sleeve. They also sport an integral recoil lug and hinged floorplate.
